China announces overcoming Corona outbreak


The National Health Commission of China announced today, Thursday, that the Corona virus exceeded its peak in the country with only eight new cases recorded in Hubei province, the epicenter of the outbreak, which records for the first time less than ten cases in one day. In light of the noticeable slowdown in the spread of the virus, companies have reopened their doors, while authorities are cautiously reducing containment measures. Hubei province announced to ease further travel restrictions today, Thursday, and would also allow production to resume in some sectors in two cities and two provinces. "In general, China has surpassed the epidemic," said Mei Feng, spokesman for the National Health Commission. "The increase in new cases is receding." The National Health Commission reported that Wuhan registered all new cases on Wednesday. Outside Wuhan, the mainland recorded seven new cases, six of which were from abroad. As of the end of Wednesday, the death toll in mainland China had reached 3,169, 11 more than Tuesday. Ten deaths were recorded in Hubei, seven in Wuhan. Trump stops travel with Europe

As part of a set of measures to combat the virus, US President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday night, Thursday, a travel ban to and from European countries starting from Friday night for a period of 30 days. Trump said the ban would not include Britain or "Americans who pass through appropriate measures."

"In order to prevent new casualties from reaching our shores, we will suspend all flights from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days. The new rules come into effect at midnight on Friday," Trump said in his speech to the Americans.

He added that these restrictions also include "the sheer volume of trade and shipping" between Europe and the United States, and "various other things while we get approval."
